AI-powered CMDB health diagnostics. Analyzes data quality across six dimensions, surfaces hidden risks like Green Dashboard Syndrome, and delivers executive-ready health reports with actionable findings and module readiness scores.
Datum CMDB is available in two tiers through a single installation:
Lite (free): Overview dashboard with health score, executive summary, and top 3 findings. Enough to understand your
CMDB health posture and identify whether deeper investigation is warranted.
Full (paid): Unlocks the Deep Dive dashboard page with complete diagnostic findings, root cause diagnoses linking
related findings to organizational causes, capability readiness visualization showing which licensed modules are
blocked, and a full remediation campaign with task-based action tracking and phase gate reviews.
To upgrade, contact EFS Networks at sales@efsnetworks.com. The full tier is activated by a single system property
change — no reinstallation required.
Datum CMDB assesses the health of a customer’s CMDB and returns a prioritised set of findings. From the Assessments list the user clicks Run Assessment; the application collects CMDB structural metadata in the background, sends it to the EFS Networks analysis service, and imports the result. The demo shows the Assessments list, a completed assessment with its health score, maturity stage and finding count, the Findings list, and the dashboard. Collection is read-only with respect to the CMDB: the application never writes to any CMDB or platform table.
Release Notes — changes in 1.0.18
Collection accuracy: corrected three defects that produced inaccurate findings on current releases — identification rules being reported inactive when they were active, identification rule details not being captured, and customer-written scripts being crowded out of collection by platform scripts.
Result delivery: assessment results are now imported in the background by an event-driven script action, with a scheduled sweep that completes any assessment left running, and progress and stage are recorded on the assessment record. Results no longer require the dashboard to be open.
Reporting consistency: sigma level and maturity stage are now derived from the assessment health score so that the summary agrees with the findings.
Resilience: the analysis endpoint setting tolerates a trailing slash or surrounding whitespace, the outbound call has an explicit timeout, and each run records diagnostic detail (collection duration, payload size, and the service response) to aid support.
Security hardening: reads performed on behalf of a user are access-rule enforced, the status endpoint is read only, the Run Assessment action no longer issues a redirect, auto-created default REST methods have been removed, list modules carry default filters, and roles are referenced by name.
Documentation: the Design Document, Installation Guide, Test Document and Privacy Policy have been brought in line with the application as built.
- ServiceNow platform: Yokohama or later
- Plugin: CMDB Scoped App API (com.snc.cmdb.scoped) — must be activated
ServiceNow Zurich or later. No plugins and no other Store applications are required. After installation an administrator enters two values in the application’s Settings module: the analysis service endpoint and the API key supplied by EFS Networks. No XML import or Update Set commit is required, and no out-of-the-box table is modified.
